Job Summary:
• To manage day-to-day operations of the SWA and maintain compliance with DEQ
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
• Manage employees in the day-to-day operations
• Operate equipment and transfer stations as needed
• Train new employees
• Enforce policies
• Promote recycling
• Comply with DEQ regulations and requirements
• Comply with local government ordinances
• Comply with DOT regulations
• Attend meetings as required by the Southwest Central RSWMD
• Work with the district events within Hot Spring County
• Maintain files on all sites
• Coordinate with the board of directors on new projects
• Annual budget preparation
• Financial reporting
• Work with engineers and contractors on all projects within the company
• Maintain compliance with HIPPA laws
• Maintain compliance with OSHA
• Filing and compliance with state retirement (APERS)
• Perform presentations within various organizations to create awareness as to recycling
and preservation
• Work with school on projects pertaining to conservation and preservation
• Other duties as needed
Required Qualifications:
• Must hold Class 1C (master) solid waste licensing or be obtained through DEQ within the
first three years from start date
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or minimum substantively equivalent
business management experience of similar size workforce
Preferred Qualifications:
• Trucking and logistics management experience
• CDL
Abilities Required:
• General knowledge of labor laws
• Human resource experience
• Inventory Control
• General knowledge of procurement procedures
• General knowledge of parliamentary procedures within governmental agencies
